     Approval of the Minutes of the June 8, 2009 Town Board Meeting

 

     Public Comment on Agenda Items Only

 

•  Correction – The Town Wide Garbage Contract bids will be opened on July 20, 2009 at 11am at Town Hall.

 

•  Resolution – To retain the services of Gerald Griffin Jr. I tax certiorari proceeding by Atlantis Group against the Town for the 2007-8-9 years, and the proceeding by Pyramid Construction against the Town for the 2003 through 2007 years.

 

•  Authorization – To increase water rates for District #2, Oxford Water, from $45.00 to $90.00 up to the first 10,000 gallons per quarter; and from $4.50 to $9.00 per 1,000 gallons for usage of 10,000 gallons and above.

 

•  Authorization – To increase water rates for District #4, Tappan Water, from $27.00 to $54.00 up to the first 10,000 gallons per quarter; and from $3.24 to $6.48 per 1,000 gallons for usage of 10,000 to 25,000 gallons per quarter; from $4.86 to $9.72 for 25,000+.

 

•  Bids – To approve bid specs, and authorize bidding of the Woodcock Mt. paving project.  Bids to be opened on July 9, 2009.

 

•  Bid Award – For 1986 FWD snow plow truck to Liberty Motors for $1,029.99.

 

•  Appointment – To appoint to p/t Groundskeeper, Gregory A. Kelemen effective June 24, 2009 at an hourly rate of $12.00 per hour.

 

•  Appointments – To Town Recreation Summer Camp effective 6/28/09 – 9/1/09 – Jaclyn Bernstein – Camp Director, $15 per hour, Timothy Olsen – T-Ball Inst., $15 per hour, Eliana Kurzum – Water Safety Inst., $20 per hour, Shannon Horaz – Asst. Camp Dir., $13 per hour, Jennifer Diazdelvalle – Camp Medical Dir., $11 per hour, Catherine Fisher – Playgound Coordinator, $20 per hour, Dominiqua Jones – Lifeguard & Jennifer Nazaroff – Lifeguard, $9 per hour, Jessie Curcio, Steve Curcio, Jillian Cafarchio, Tara Cooney, Helene Cooney, Richard Sternkopf,, Michelle DerMatteosian, Sean Glynn, Michelle Horn, Kristine Graham, Meaghan Glavin, Counselors $8 per hour, Bianca Mora – Office Asst./Floater, $8 per hour, Nicole Melshenker – Pre-School Asst., $8 per hour.

 

     Resignation – With regret of Recreation Leader Lisa Petro, effective 7/17/09.

 

     Facility Use – Washingtonville Vipers Baseball to use the junior field at Mays on July 17, 18, 19, from 8an until 10pm for a tournament.

 

     Facility Use – Maria E. Brown to use Mays Field, basketball courts, pavilion on July 25, 1-4pm for a birthday party.

 

  Facility Use – Knights of Columbus to use Mays Field, diamonds 1 & 2 on 9/11 – 9/13 for a softball tournament.

 

  Facility Use – Salisbury Mills Fire Company to use Lasser Park on 9/24/11 as a staging area for the Orange County Volunteer Fireman’s parade.

 

       Summer Schedule – The July 27, 2009 and August 24, 2009 Town Board Meetings will be held at 4pm for the purpose of approving the payment of warrants and addressing any time driven issues that may arise.

 

       Surplus – Highway Department to surplus one, (1) 1997 Ford F-250 Vin. #: 1FTHT26G6VEB42462, and authorize bid notice to sell.

 

       Transfers – Resolution to effect necessary transfer of funds to pay warrants.

 

       Warrants – Authorization to pay.

 

       Public Comment – Limited to (3) three minutes.
