Summer Camp Programs

BETTER THAN EVER FOR 2008! Last summer we expanded our Summer Camp to run for seven weeks, and it was a hit. So for 2008, we'll do it again! Each week has a major, off-site trip scheduled. Two times each week, the entire camp goes to Hil-Mar resort to enjoy swimming and fun.
Camp offers a variety of activities including, but not limited to, arts & crafts, sports, board games, soccer, basketball, softball, and much more.
Special guests will be dropping by the camp for fun surprises!
The Town of Blooming Grove Recreation Department is determined to make our Summer Camp a pleasurable and memorable experience for you and your child. Your ideas and suggestions are always welcomed. We look forward to a fun-filled summer!

About Our Staff...
Blooming Grove Recreation offers one of the finest day camps in the region. Our staff is highly trained and experienced, with over 10 first-aid-certified counselors.
Blooming Grove Day Camp exceeds all the mandated requirements put forth by the Orange County Department of Health.
A Water Safety Instructor (WSI) is on staff to evaluate your child's ability to swim when we attend Hil-Mar resort (twice weekly) or when we go to water parks.
Blooming Grove wants you to know that your child's safety and welfare is a priority to us.

Summer Camp 2007 Information
Registration for our 2008 Summer Camps will begin on Saturday, April 12. We will be open from 9:00am-1:00pm on this day. Please be sure to have a copy of your child's birth certificate, immunization records, and a recent physical (within one year). Payment must be made payable to "BG Rec" at the time of registration.
Summer Camp hours are 9:00am-4:00pm, and the program is open to all children between the ages of 7-12. We do offer an early drop-off, as well as a late pick-up. Early drop-off can be as early as 8:00am. Late pick-up can be no later than 5:00pm.

MINI CAMPS
for the lil' guys
Adventure Camp
Summer is the perfect time to explore, create, and play! Introduce your child to summer camp, making friends, and having fun. Adventure Camp is for children in grades K-2. Camp will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, July 7th-August 15th. 9:00am-1:00pm. The cost is $35 per week and you get to choose which week(s) you want to sign up for. Adventure Camp will be held at Lasser Park in 2008

Playground Pals
Playground Pals was one of our most popular summer programs in 2007. So, for this year we decided to make it even better! Playground Pals now meets Monday-Friday, and will run for 7 weeks. Playground Pals is now for 4-7 year olds. This is a drop-off program, held at May's Field. The kids will enjoy field activities, fun on the playground, crafts, board games, and of course getting wet under the sprinklers! Cost is $50 per week, per child. (July 7-August 22)

Summer Sizzlers
Each week of Summer Sizzlers will offer an exciting new theme filled with arts & crafts, activities, games, stories, music and more. Sizzlers is for 3 & 4 year olds, and will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Moffat Hall, 10:30am-1:0pm. $100 for all 6 weeks.

Summer Express
Does everyone in your family have something to do this summer except your toddler? Summer Express is a fun and stimulating play group that will give your toddler a chance to socialize this summer. Each class will be based on a summer theme and include circle time, arts & crafts, and plenty of large motor activity. Parent Participation is required. Summer Express is held on Tuesdays (July 8-August 12), 9:00-10:00am. For ages 18 months-2 years. $37 for 6 weeks.
